Jordan Milam Chapter Celebrates Harrison’s 150th Anniversary

May 1, 2026 – The Jordan Milam Chapter was represented at the Harrison, AR 150th celebration, a large event held at the historic Boone County Courthouse Square. Booths were arranged by various businesses and organizations within the county, including the Jordan Milam Chapter of the SAR and the Harrison Colony Chapter of the DAR.

The Jordan Milam Chapter booth was represented by Chapter President Pat Flenniken in revolutionary attire and Vice President Alex McGraw.ย  Bracelets engraved with chapter name and “America 250” and chapter brochures were passed out to visitors.

Activities included a 25′ rock climbing wall, bouncy house, corn hole, life size milking cow, restaurant vending trucks, games, prizes, and give aways.

Speeches were given by Harrison 150th Committee chair Mitch Magness, Jordan Milam Past President Troy Massey (in period attire) on behalf of the Boone County Heritage Museum, Harrison 150th youth speech contest winner, and President George Washington and surveyor LaRue Harrison, of whom Harrison was named.
